Usage

Once installed, the plugin runs automatically. There are no templates to edit and nothing to add to your front end — it watches the control panel and reminds admins when permissions may need attention.

Why this matters

When you add a new section, asset volume, category group, user group, or install a plugin, Craft does not automatically grant the new permissions to your existing user groups. It’s easy to ship a change and forget that your editors now can’t see the content you just built. This plugin closes that gap.

How it works

  1. You make a schema change — for example, create a new section or install a plugin.
  2. The plugin detects the change and records a reminder.
  3. The next time an admin loads the control panel, a sticky bar appears at the bottom: “N schema changes may need a permissions review.”
  4. The admin clicks View details to open a modal listing every outstanding change, or Review permissions to jump straight to user settings.
  5. After updating permissions, the admin dismisses the reminders — individually or all at once.

The Permission Reminders section

The plugin adds a Permission Reminders item to the control panel navigation. It lists every pending reminder with the change it relates to and when it happened, and lets you dismiss them one by one or in bulk. A badge shows the number of outstanding reminders at a glance.

What triggers a reminder

By default, the plugin reminds you after a new section, entry type, global set, asset volume, category group, or user group is created, and after a plugin is installed. You can fine-tune which of these are watched in the plugin’s settings.
